Boundaries and Ethics for Helping ProfessionalsHelping professionals are in constant contact with people when they are working. Yet professionals can take for granted the issue of boundaries during their workday, when schedules need to be kept or issues addressed.  Knowing personal boundaries is a key factor in staying focused and calm in the workplace, and in avoiding burnout.

This workshop addresses personal boundaries by teaching each individual how to experience and respect their own boundaries.  Working with horses makes this vividly apparent: Horses monitor their own boundaries constantly, and give clear signals when their boundaries are being crossed.

You will learn from the horses about the variety of boundaries that you have, and about the power that comes from awareness and from honoring boundaries.  Connecting to this awareness reduces stress for you in your place of work.  And you will gain insight into your clients, patients, or students, through a better understanding of their boundaries.

We will build on your understanding of physical, emotional, and energetic boundaries by introducing relationship-based work with the horses. Once you can sense your own signals, you will learn how to approach different horses, and how to determine, from the information you are receiving through insight and intuition, the kind of relationship required to move the horse without physical connection or verbal command.
